Diane has been a fixture at Sandoval Dental Care pretty much since Dr. Sandoval opened the doors, because she is Dr. Sandoval’s daughter! She started working here at a very young age, helping with the office cleaning. Later, she became a dental assistant. She then attended UWM and graduated with honors, receiving a bachelor’s degree in psychology and chemistry. After she graduated college, she attended MATC to become a registered dental hygienist, again graduating with honors. She puts an emphasis on being gentle and thorough, and her patients love her for that. She recently had a son, Alex, with her husband Dr. Romero-Shu, who she spends a majority of her time with. Together as a family they enjoy travelling, especially to California to visit Dr. Romero-Shu’s childhood home and family.
Mary Ann spent 18 years in the printing industry, and then felt that she wanted a more fulfilling career. Helping others was her true passion, so she decided to become a dental hygienist. You could say her career chose her, and after the past 8 years in this rewarding position, she knows she is right where she needs to be! Her goals and satisfaction as a dental hygienist comes from helping others achieve and maintain healthy mouths. She truly feels as though she is making a difference and loves every minute of it! Mary Ann has a grown son whom she is very proud of. She also has two dogs that she enjoys taking long walks with, and she also loves traveling and seeing new places. She wants you to know that you should always remember to brush and floss only the teeth that you want to keep!
Jodi has been a part of our Sandoval Dental Care hygiene team for the past 19 years. She is a 1997 graduate of MATC’s dental hygiene program. She keeps up to date on her oral health education by taking continuing education classes on subjects that have included but are not limited to: periodontal health, caries control, oral hygiene products and techniques, oral cancer screening, and infection control. Over the years, she has truly enjoyed getting to know her patients and working to meet each of their individual needs. Outside of the office, Jodi enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her husband, and their two teenage daughters, who keep them busy with their many extra-curricular activities. Jodi and family love to travel, and get away whenever they can, whether it is a weekend up in the north woods or a week-long beach vacation in Mexico.
